This museum is housed in the former Douglas County High School building, designed by architect Frederic DeLongchamps in 1915. Exhibits include the Snowshoe Thompson exhibit which commemorates John A "Snowshoe" Thompson, who skied over the Sierra Nevada deliver mail to California an back. Other temporary exhibits features artists whose work focused on Nevada.
