The Golf Club of California northeast of Oceanside has a country club feel
FALLBROOK, Calif. -- Designed by Wade Campbell and Johnny Pott, The Golf Club of California is a scenic, fun test of golf that will appeal to every level of golfer.
This former private club offers a par-72 course that can play as long as 6,925 yards or as little as 5,011 yards from the shortest of five sets of tees.
Although one of the trademarks of the golf course is the par-3 seventh with a bunker in the middle of the green, the highlights go way beyond the Riviera Country Club-like hole.
With rolling hills, elevated tees and a variety of trees, The Golf Club of California is both scenic and challenging. Wide fairways make it playable at almost every level, but the variety of greens, bunkering and doglegs provide plenty of challenges for the good player. The course ends with a 230-yard par 3 over water.
And after the round, both members and daily-fee guests can enjoy the facility's expansive clubhouse, which includes locker rooms, dining and a well stocked golf shop.
