There's no shortage of variety at Talega Golf Club in San Clemente
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. -- Fred Couples and Brian Curley have worked together on several golf courses, but Talega Golf Club, which is set above the "Spanish Village by the Sea," might be one of their finest collaborations.
It's set on a picturesque piece of land, just three miles from the Pacific Ocean. Always in excellent condition, every hole is easy on the eye, even if it isn't easy on the scorecard. At 6,951 yards, this par 72 is certainly a championship test, with plenty of water and some difficult par 5s and par 3s. In fact, the course has five of each, including a stretch of three par 3s between holes 5-8.
Talega G.C. also has a large Spanish-style clubhouse that can accommodate more than 200 guests for weddings, banquets and tournaments. Guests can also enjoy a variety of lunch and dinner items at the Signature Grille while taking in golf course views on its large patio.
