Rams Hill Golf Club in Borrego Springs: Tom Fazio design is one of the best courses in San Diego County
BORREGO SPRINGS, Calif. -- Rams Hill Golf Club is located at the heart of the vast Anza Borrego State Park, perched on a dramatic hillside that overlooks the desert floor. The Tom Fazio design has a reputation as one of the best courses in San Diego County.
Fazio utilized the natural contours of the landscape to give each hole a different character. Lush fairways tumble across rolling hills and steep, craggy mountains frame the greens. The landscape has both mountains and water, with meandering streams and waterfalls that cascade into sparkling blue lakes. You'll be treated to stunning vistas throughout the course, but you'll also find that it's as challenging as it is scenic. In addition to the water and elevation changes, strategically placed bunkers come into play on almost every hole. The 18th is a classic Fazio finishing hole. This par-5 begins with a downhill tee shot to a wide fairway that slopes to a large lake on the right. The third shot is slightly uphill to a green protected by both bunkers and a waterfall.

"I will go back often, and recommend to all."
