THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. -- Just minutes from the nationally renowned Sherwood Country Club (host of the Chevron Challenge), municipal Los Robles Greens Golf Course has some of the same characteristics: majestic eucalyptus trees, live oaks and rolling hills. Originally designed by Bob E. Baldock, the course opened in 1964 but has undergone a redesign since.
At just more than 6,200 yards from the tips, the par-70 Los Robles Greens presents plenty of scoring opportunities, but it has its challenges as well, especially on the greens. And speaking of the greens, they're some of the best in the area, especially considering the affordable green fees.
Located about 40 miles north of Los Angeles, Los Robles Greens sits 900 feet above sea level, with plenty of elevation changes. With four sets of tees, the course plays to all skill levels. It also offers a full-service golf shop, dining, range and practice facilities.
