Industry Hills Golf Club's Eisenhower Course near Los Angeles
Unbeknownst to many Los Angeles golfers, one of the best public golf courses in Southern California lies just minutes from downtown: the Dwight D. Eisenhower Course at Pacific Palms Conference Resort's Industry Hills Golf Club in City of Industry. This gem opened in 1979, and was recently re-opened after an extensive, multi-million dollar renovation.
More important for golfers, though, is that the Ike is a great test of golf: The 7,211-yard track has a rating of 75.5 and a slope of 144 from the tips. Until 2003, the course record was a mere 1-under par 71, set by none other than Fred Couples.
And even more importantly, you can take a stab at taming this beast for as little as $62.
